Job summary

Allied Universal in McLean, VA is hiring a Part Time Security Officer with a valid driver’s license and, if required, a DoD Secret Clearance. You will monitor client sites, perform access control, deter incidents, and deliver strong customer service.

The role offers flexible day and weekend shifts via our Claim a Shift platform. Ideal candidates have at least 3 years of combined security or military experience or a college degree, supervisory ability, and readiness for background checks and drug

Qualifications

• At least 3 years of combined law enforcement, military, and/or security-related experience, or a college degree.
• Supervisory experience.
• Active DoD Secret Clearance required.
• A valid driver’s license per Allied Universal policy.
• CPR and First Aid certification preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Background check and drug screen as required by law.
• Licensing requirements depend on state/local laws.

What You’ll Do

• Provide customer service to our clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner.
• Conduct regular and random patrols around the business and perimeter. Working environments and conditions may vary by client site.

Minimum Requirements

• Possess at least 3 years of combined law enforcement, military, and/or security-related experience, or a college degree.
• Possess supervisory experience.
• Possess an active DoD Secret Clearance.
• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• CPR and First Aid certification is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
