Job summary

Allied Universal in Fairfax, VA is seeking a Part-Time Security Officer (Unarmed) to protect clients across aerospace/defense locations. You will patrol, deter incidents, and provide courteous customer service while maintaining a visible presence.

The role requires at least 1 year of security experience, an active DoD Secret Clearance, and a high school diploma or equivalent; a guard card and CPR/First Aid are preferred.

Position Type: Part Time

Pay Rate: $25.48 / Hour

Job Schedule:

• Sat 03:00 PM - 11:00 PM
• Sun 03:00 PM - 11:00 PM

What You’ll Do:

• Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at an aerospace and defense location.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established site protocols.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of buildings, grounds, access points, and perimeter areas to help deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor and report unusual conditions, access-control concerns, and potential hazards to appropriate site contacts and/or emergency responders.
• Prepare clear, accurate reports and maintain required activity logs in accordance with site-specific requirements.

Minimum Requirements:

• Have at least 1 year of security-related experience.
• Possess an active DoD Secret Clearance.
• A Guard Card or license is preferred.
• CPR and First Aid certification is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
