Allied Universal is seeking a part-time Security Officer Screening Attendant in Jeffersonville, IN. You will monitor access points, screen visitors and personnel, maintain a welcoming, secure environment, and provide excellent customer service while deterring security incidents.

Responsibilities

• Screen individuals, packages, and deliveries and document prohibited items, escalating concerns.
• Verify identification, visitor authorizations, credentials, and delivery documentation before access.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and emergencies calmly and according to site protocols.
• Conduct regular patrols of entry points and restricted areas to deter unauthorized activity.

What You’ll Do:

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and delivery personnel at a technology manufacturing or office location by carrying out site-specific security-related procedures, access policies, and emergency response activities when appropriate.
• Screen individuals, packages, and deliveries entering the location in accordance with established procedures, documenting prohibited or unauthorized items and escalating concerns to appropriate site contacts.
• Verify identification, visitor authorizations, credentials, and delivery documentation before permitting access to designated areas.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following site-specific reporting and notification protocols.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of assigned entry points, screening areas, business spaces, and perimeter areas to help deter unauthorized activity.

Minimum Requirements:

• Have at least one year of security-related experience.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
