Allied Universal in Edgerton, KS is seeking a part-time Security Officer – Screening Associate to screen individuals and help manage access at a technology and media site. You will deliver customer service, monitor entry points, and report security concerns with a professional presence.

The role offers flexible evening and night shifts, a pay rate of $19.17 per hour, and opportunities within a nationwide security team.

Qualifications

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, delivery personnel, and vendors at a high-volume technology and media location while carrying out site-specific procedures and security-related protocols.
• Screen employees, visitors, packages, and deliveries in accordance with access control requirements, using established screening equipment and procedures.
• Verify identification, credentials, and authorization for entry, and document visitor, contractor, and delivery activity as required.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, escalating concerns to appropriate site contacts and Allied Universal leadership.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of assigned screening areas, entry points, and nearby business perimeter to help deter unauthorized access and identify security-related concerns.
