Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking a Security Officer Part Time Roving Patrol in Seattle, WA to protect tenants and visitors, perform unarmed patrols of commercial properties, and maintain a visible security presence.

This role features weekend night shifts with the Claim a Shift platform for scheduling, offering flexibility and opportunities for growth while delivering professional customer service and strict adherence to site procedures.

Qualifications

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Background investigation required in accordance with laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applicants with criminal histories.
• Drug screen required where permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements subject to state/local laws and regulations and may be required.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to tenants, visitors, and property personnel by carrying out site-specific procedures, access-control practices, and emergency response activities.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of commercial property common areas, parking facilities, building entrances, and perimeter areas to deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity, verify credentials per site policies, and report unusual or unauthorized activity to site leadership.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations calmly, following established protocols and contacting emergency services when required.
• Prepare accurate activity logs, incident reports, and shift documentation, and communicate security information to Allied Universal leadership and site contacts.

Pay Rate: $23.75 / Hour

Job Schedule:

• Sat: 11:00 PM - 07:00 AM
• Sun: 11:00 PM - 07:00 AM

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to tenants, visitors, and property personnel by carrying out site-specific procedures, access-control practices, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of commercial property common areas, parking facilities, building entrances, and perimeter areas to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity, verify credentials as directed by site policies, and report unusual or unauthorized activity to the appropriate personnel.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established protocols and contacting emergency services when required.
• Prepare accurate activity logs, incident reports, and shift documentation, and communicate relevant security-related information to Allied Universal leadership and site contacts.

Minimum Requirements:

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
