Job summary

Allied Universal, in Louisville, KY, is seeking a Part-Time Security Officer for routine security presence at a telecommunications/media location. You will monitor areas, conduct patrols, and maintain a visible presence to deter incidents while delivering customer service to employees and visitors.

This role requires at least 1 year of security experience, a high school diploma, and the ability to pass background checks and drug screening. CPR is preferred.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of security-related experience.
• CPR certification is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and vendors at a telecommunications and media location by carrying out site-specific security-related procedures and emergency response activities.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of buildings, parking areas, entry points, perimeter areas, and other assigned locations to deter unauthorized activity and identify security concerns.
• Monitor access points and verify credentials in accordance with site policies; report irregularities, suspicious activity, and maintenance concerns to appropriate personnel.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations calmly, following site procedures and notifying emergency services and/or site contacts as directed.
• Prepare accurate reports and maintain activity logs for patrols, incidents, observations, and security-related communications.

What You'll Do:
