Job summary

Allied Universal in Florence, KY is seeking a Part-Time Unarmed Security Officer to safeguard shoppers and staff at a busy retail location. You will patrol, monitor entrances, and provide a visible, customer-friendly presence to deter incidents and ensure a safe environment.

Minimum requirements include a high school diploma or equivalent; CPR is preferred. Applicants will undergo a background check and drug screening as required by law.

Qualifications

• Customer service experience preferred.
• CPR certification preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients, customers, and visitors by carrying out site-specific security-related procedures, policies, and emergency response activities.
• Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols throughout the retail location, including sales areas, entrances, parking areas, and perimeter boundaries.
• Observe and report suspicious activity, potential hazards, policy violations, and maintenance concerns to appropriate site contacts and Allied Universal leadership.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, customer concerns, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner.
• Assist with access control, monitor designated areas, and help deter theft, trespassing, and other unauthorized activity through a visible presence.

Job Schedule:

• Sat: 03:00 PM - 11:00 PM
• Sun: 03:00 PM - 11:00 PM

What You'll Do:

Minimum Requirements:

• Customer service experience is preferred.
• CPR certification is preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
