Job summary

Allied Universal in Columbus, GA is seeking a Part-Time Security Officer - Response Driver to protect aerospace and defense facilities. You will patrol, monitor access, and respond to incidents while delivering excellent customer service and driving to assigned locations.

This role offers flexible day/evening shifts and the opportunity to grow with a leading security provider. Requirements include at least one year of security or military experience, a valid driver’s license, ability to lift 20+

Responsibilities

• Monitor access points and verify credentials according to site procedures; document visitor activity.
• Respond to incidents and alarms; communicate observations to site contacts and emergency responders.
• Complete accurate activity reports and shift communications; stay aware of changing conditions.

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to clients, employees, contractors, and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of aerospace and defense facilities, buildings, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify unusual conditions.
• Monitor access points and verify credentials in accordance with site procedures, documenting visitor, contractor, and delivery activity as required.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, communicating observations to site contacts and emergency responders when needed.
• Complete accurate activity reports, incident documentation, and shift communications while maintaining awareness of changing conditions throughout the location.

Minimum Requirements:

• Possess at least one year of armed security-related, law enforcement, and/or military experience.
• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Ability to lift more than 20 pounds is preferred.
• CPR certification is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
