Allied Universal is seeking a Security Officer for a part-time enhanced role at a Roseland, NJ site. You’ll staff a fixed anchor shift on weekends with opportunities to pick up extra shifts via our platform, increasing earnings and gaining experience across sites. The role focuses on front desk security, customer service, and safety procedures.

Qualifications

• Valid driver’s license required in the job location.
• Minimum of one year of security-related experience.
• Access control and badge experience preferred.

• Comfort using a computer or tablet preferred.
• Age 18+ for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• High school diploma or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and vendors at a front desk.

As a Security Officer Enhanced Part Time Reception Driver in Roseland, NJ, this role is designed to provide reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site with the flexibility for you to earn more by pick‑up additional shifts when it works for you.

Pay Rate: $19.21 / Hour

Job Schedule:

Sat 11:00 PM - 07:00 AM

How This Role Works:

• Fixed-Shift Commitment (“Anchor Shifts”): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment.
• Earn More, Claim‑A‑Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick‑up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part‑time hours this week and full‑time the next. It’s all up to you.

This role is ideal for candidates seeking part‑time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build‑up to a full‑time schedule of up to 40 hours per week; always with the option to scale back when needed.

Responsibilities:

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and vendors at a front desk within a technology, media, and telecommunications location while carrying out security-related procedures and site‑specific policies.
• Monitor visitor access, verify credentials, maintain visitor logs, and direct guests in accordance with site requirements.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem‑solving manner, escalating concerns to appropriate personnel as needed.
• Maintain awareness of front desk activity, report unusual conditions, and support emergency response activities when appropriate.

Minimum Requirements:

• A valid driver’s license is required in the state where the job is located.
• Have at least one year of security-related experience.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
