Allied Universal, North America's leading security and facility services company, is seeking a Security Officer Part Time Plant in Sterling Heights, MI. You will guard client locations, perform patrols, monitor access points, and deliver excellent customer service while maintaining a professional presence.

The role offers part-time scheduling (Sat/Sun, 6:00 AM–2:00 PM) at an aerospace/defense location with opportunities to learn and grow within AUS.

Qualifications

• At least 1 year of security-related experience.
• Customer service experience preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet preferred.
• CPR certification preferred.
• Access control and badge experience preferred.
• Age 18+ for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• High school diploma or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures and site policies.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and access concerns in a calm, controlled manner.
• Conduct regular unarmed patrols of facilities and perimeter locations.
• Monitor access points and document incidents for site contact review.
• Complete accurate activity reports and shift handoffs with professional conduct.

As an Unarmed Patrol Officer supporting an aerospace and defense location, you will monitor assigned areas, conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and support access control activities. You will provide exceptional customer service and clear communication while contributing to a caring, agile, reliable, and innovative team that puts people first and acts with integrity.

Position Type: Part Time

Pay Rate: $18.50 / Hour

Job Schedule:

• Sat 06:00 AM - 02:00 PM
• Sun 06:00 AM - 02:00 PM

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities at an aerospace and defense location.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, access concerns, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established reporting and escalation protocols.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of facilities, buildings, restricted areas, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help identify unusual activity and security-related concerns.
• Monitor access points and observe personnel, visitors, and vehicles in accordance with site procedures, documenting incidents and communicating concerns to appropriate site contacts.
• Complete accurate activity reports, incident documentation, and shift handoffs while maintaining a professional presence consistent with Allied Universal and client expectations.

Minimum Requirements:

• Have at least 1 year of security-related experience.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• CPR certification is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.li>
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.

• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
