Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking a Part-Time Security Officer (Perimeter Patrol Driver) in El Segundo, CA to protect assets at an aerospace and defense location. You will provide courteous customer service, enforce policies, and maintain security integrity.

The role involves unarmed patrols, monitoring access, badge control, and reporting incidents. Schedule includes Tue 2:00 PM–10:00 PM and Sat 6:00 AM–2:00 PM.

Qualifications

• Valid driver8 license required by policy.
• Ability to lift up to 20 lbs preferred.
• CPR certification preferred.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet.
• Access control and badge experience preferred.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Background check and drug screening as per law.
• A driver8 license required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to personnel, visitors, and contractors while carrying out security-related procedures and site policies.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and emergencies calmly following site protocols.
• Conduct regular patrols of facilities, grounds, parking areas, and perimeter to identify hazards and violations.
• Monitor entry/exit points, verify access credentials, and maintain visitor/contractor records.
• Prepare accurate activity reports and communicate observations to leadership.

Job Schedule:

• Tue: 02:00 PM - 10:00 PM
• Sat: 06:00 AM - 02:00 PM

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to personnel, visitors, and contractors while carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, access-control requirements, and emergency response activities at an aerospace and defense location.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established site protocols and notifying appropriate personnel.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of facilities, grounds, parking areas, and perimeter areas to help identify unusual activity, hazards, and policy violations.
• Monitor entry and exit points, verify authorized access credentials, maintain visitor and contractor records, and report access concerns according to site procedures.
• Prepare accurate activity reports and communicate observations, incidents, and maintenance-related concerns to Allied Universal leadership and designated site contacts.

Minimum Requirements:

• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Ability to lift up to 20 lbs is preferred.
• CPR certification is preferred.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
