Qualifications

• A valid driver’s license is required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to residents, visitors, staff, and/or service providers by carrying out security-related procedures and site policies.
• Respond to incidents, resident concerns, conflicts, and critical situations calmly and following reporting procedures.
• Conduct regular and random foot patrols throughout the facility and perimeter to deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access to the location, verify authorized entry, and document visitor/resident/incident information accurately.
• Maintain a professional presence and support a trauma-informed environment for shelter residents.

You will provide exceptional customer service, communicate clearly, and document security-related activity using available computer or tablet systems. What You’ll Do:

• Provide customer service to residents, visitors, staff, and/or service providers by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a shelter location.
• Respond to incidents, resident concerns, conflicts, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established reporting and escalation procedures.
• Conduct regular and random foot patrols throughout the facility, surrounding grounds, entry points, and perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
• Monitor access to the location, verify authorized entry as directed by site procedures, and document visitor, resident, and/or incident information accurately.
• Maintain a professional presence while supporting a respectful, trauma-informed environment for individuals accessing shelter services.

Minimum Requirements:

• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
