Job summary

Allied Universal in Tampa, FL is seeking a Part-Time Security Officer to provide customer service, deter incidents, and maintain a visible security presence at healthcare locations.

You will conduct patrols, monitor access points, and respond to incidents following established procedures. The role offers a flexible schedule and opportunities to earn more through our shift-claim platform.

Qualifications

• At least 2 years of law enforcement, military police, or corrections experience.
• Guard card or license preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• Background check and drug screen required.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with laws.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients, visitors, patients, and staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities when appropriate.
• Respond to incidents, behavioral health-related concerns, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established escalation and reporting procedures.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of the facility, grounds, entrances, parking areas, and perimeter to deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
• Monitor access points, verify authorized entry as directed, and report suspicious activity, hazards, or policy violations to appropriate personnel.
• Complete accurate activity logs, incident reports, and shift documentation in accordance with Allied Universal and site-specific requirements.

Position Type: Part Time

Pay Rate: $22.00 / Hour

Job Schedule:

• Wed 02:00 PM - 10:00 PM
• Fri 02:00 PM - 10:00 PM

What You’ll Do:

Minimum Requirements:

• Possess at least 2 years of law enforcement, military police, and/or corrections experience.
• A guard card or license is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
