Allied Universal is seeking a Part-Time Security Officer in Jacksonville, FL to protect clients across diverse industries. You will perform unarmed patrols, engage with employees and visitors, and maintain a visible security presence with strong customer service.

This role offers flexible scheduling and the chance to grow within a leading security company. Ideal candidates are at least 18, with a high school diploma, capable of using a computer or tablet, and able to pass required background

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Background investigation will be conducted in accordance with federal, state and local laws.
• A drug screen may be required as a condition of employment.

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors and delivery personnel at a technology-focused location.
• Respond to incidents, access concerns and critical situations in a calm, professional manner and notify appropriate personnel.
• Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols of buildings, parking areas, loading zones, and perimeter areas.
• Monitor access points, visitor activity and authorized entry procedures while maintaining logs and incident reports.
• Support a professional, welcoming environment and deter unauthorized access, theft, and policy violations.

What You’ll Do

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and delivery personnel at a technology-focused location by carrying out site-specific security-related procedures and, when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents, access concerns, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, notifying appropriate personnel according to site procedures.
• Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols of buildings, parking areas, loading zones, and perimeter areas to help identify and report unusual activity or security-related concerns.
• Monitor access points, visitor activity, and authorized entry procedures while maintaining accurate security-related logs and incident reports.
• Support a professional, welcoming environment while helping to deter unauthorized access, theft, and policy violations.

Minimum Requirements

• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
