Job summary

Allied Universal in Jacksonville, FL is seeking a Security Officer Full Time Unarmed Deterrence Patrol to protect clients across technology, media, and telecom locations. You will perform routine patrols, maintain a visible deterrent, support a welcoming environment, and document observations using tablet tools.

Schedule: Mon-Fri 3:00 PM–11:00 PM. Pay rate: $16.73 per hour. Requirements include 18+ age, high school diploma or equivalent, background check and drug screen as applicable.

Qualifications

• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and delivery personnel by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities at a technology-focused location.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, access concerns, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, escalating information through established site protocols.
• Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols throughout office areas, parking facilities, loading zones, and the surrounding perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
• Monitor access points, visitor activity, and delivery operations; verify credentials and direct individuals in accordance with site-specific procedures.
• Document patrols, incidents, observations, and daily activities accurately and communicate relevant information to Allied Universal leadership and site contacts.

Job Description
