What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to visitors, employees, and members of the public at a government facility by carrying out access-control procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
• Monitor entry and exit points, verify identification and authorization credentials, manage visitor access, and maintain accurate access-related logs and records.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner; notify appropriate personnel and assist with emergency procedures as directed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of assigned areas, entrances, parking areas, and the facility perimeter to identify and report suspicious activity, access concerns, or maintenance issues.
• Help to deter unauthorized access by enforcing visitor-management procedures, directing individuals to appropriate locations, and reporting policy violations to site leadership.

Minimum Requirements:

• A valid driver’s license is required in the state where the job is located.
• Experience with access control and badge systems is preferred.
• A guard card or license is preferred.
• CPR and First Aid certification is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
