Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking a Security Officer Part Time Patrol Route Verification Driver in Sacramento, CA. You will conduct driving and walking patrols, deter incidents, and provide excellent customer service at a logistics and distribution site.

The role requires a valid driver’s license, 18+ (21+ for armed roles), and a high school diploma. This is a part-time position with a pay rate of $19.40 per hour and a schedule including Thu/Fri overnight shifts.

Qualifications

• Customer service experience in a security role.
• Familiarity with site security procedures and incident reporting.
• Ability to verify credentials and access control requirements.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients, visitors, drivers, and/or personnel at a logistics and distribution location while carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of the facility, loading areas, parking lots, access points, and perimeter to help identify unusual conditions and help deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access to the location by observing entry and exit activity, verifying credentials or visitor authorization as directed by site procedures, and reporting discrepancies.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner; document observations and promptly notify appropriate site contacts and/or emergency services as directed.
• Complete required reports, maintain accurate activity logs, and communicate relevant information to Allied Universal leadership and site personnel.

What You'll Do

Minimum Requirements

• A valid driver's license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• A Security Professional Guard Card is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
