Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and drivers by carrying out site-specific access control procedures and policies.
• Monitor access points at a manufacturing and industrial location, verify credentials, manage visitor and contractor entry, and maintain access logs.
• Respond to access-related incidents, alarms, and critical situations calmly and escalate per site procedures.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of entrances, exits, production-adjacent areas, parking, and perimeter to deter unauthorized activity.
• Communicate professionally with site personnel and Allied Universal leadership regarding access issues and incidents.

As a Security Officer Enhanced Part Time Access Systems Driver in Fernandina Beach, FL, this role is designed to provide reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site with the flexibility for you to earn more by picking-up additional shifts when it works for you.

Pay Rate: $16.00 / Hour

DayTimeMon12:00 AM - 04:00 AM

How This Role Works:

• Fixed-Shift Commitment ("Anchor Shifts"): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment.
• Earn More, Claim-A-Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick-up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part-time hours this week and full-time the next. It’s all up to you.

This role is ideal for candidates seeking part-time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build-up to a full-time schedule of up to 40 hours per week; always with the option to scale back when needed.

• Monitor access points at a manufacturing and industrial location, verify credentials, manage visitor and contractor entry, and maintain required access logs and records.
• Respond to access-related incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, escalating concerns according to site procedures.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of entrances, exits, production-adjacent areas, parking areas, and the facility perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity.
• Communicate professionally with site personnel and Allied Universal leadership regarding access issues, unusual conditions, and incidents requiring follow-up.

Minimum Requirements:

• Have at least one year of security-related experience.
• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• A state, county, or city-issued security-related license is preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required.
