Allied Universal, North America"s leading security and facility services company, seeks a part-time Security Officer (Patrol Driver Incident Response) for Edgewater, NJ.

You will perform residential patrols, monitor access, respond to incidents, and provide exceptional customer service to residents and visitors, with a flexible schedule and opportunities for growth.

Qualifications

• Minimum two years of security-related experience.
• A valid driver’s license is required.
• Criminal background check and drug screen as required by law.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to residents, visitors, and/or contractors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of residential common areas, parking facilities, entry points, and perimeter areas to help identify unusual activity and report concerns.
• Monitor access points and observe visitor, resident, and contractor activity in accordance with site procedures.
• Respond to incidents, resident concerns, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner; notify appropriate personnel and/or emergency services when directed.
• Complete required activity reports, incident documentation, and shift communications accurately and promptly.

Position Type: Part Time

Pay Rate: $19.63 / Hour

Job Schedule:

• Tue 11:00 PM - 07:00 AM
• Wed 11:00 PM - 07:00 AM

What You'll Do:

Minimum Requirements:

• At least two years of security-related experience is required.
• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Loss prevention experience is preferred.
• A guard card or license is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
