Allied Universal in Montgomery, AL is seeking a Security Officer Enhanced Part Time Patrol Customer Service to join our team. You will provide customer service to tenants, visitors, and staff while performing site-specific security procedures and emergency responses at a commercial property.

The role offers fixed-Shift Anchor commitments, with the option to pick up additional shifts through our scheduling platform to increase earnings.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of security-related experience.

• 18+ for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to tenants, visitors, and staff at a commercial property.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of building interiors, exterior grounds, parking areas, access points, and perimeter areas.
• Monitor access and report unusual conditions or security concerns according to site procedures.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations calmly and document observations.
• Maintain a professional presence and assist occupants and visitors.

As a Security Officer Enhanced Part Time Patrol Customer Service in Montgomery, AL, this role is designed to provide reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site with the flexibility for you to earn more by picking‑up additional shifts when it works for you.

Pay Rate: $16.30 / Hour

Job Schedule:

DayTimeWed10:00 PM - 06:00 AM

How This Role Works:

• Fixed-Shift Commitment (“Anchor Shifts”): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment.
• Earn More, Claim‑A-Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick‑up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part‑time hours this week and full‑time the next. It’s all up to you.

This role is ideal for candidates seeking part-time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build‑up to a full‑time schedule of up to 40 hours per week; always with the option to scale back when needed.

Responsibilities:

• Provide customer service to tenants, visitors, and staff by carrying out site‑specific security‑related procedures, policies, and emergency response activities at a commercial real estate location.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of building interiors, exterior grounds, parking areas, access points, and perimeter areas to help deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access to the property, observe visitor and contractor activity, and report unusual conditions or security‑related concerns according to site procedures.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem‑solving manner; document observations and notify appropriate personnel.
• Maintain a professional presence while providing directions, answering questions, and supporting a welcoming environment for occupants and visitors.

Minimum Requirements:

• At least two years of security-related experience is required.
• Alarm panel experience is preferred.
• At this site there are limited on‑site facilities such as portable toilets and rustic guard shacks.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
