Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking a part-time Security Officer for Patrol Access Control in Springfield, VA. You will provide customer service, deter incidents, monitor access points, and support site procedures.

This role offers flexible scheduling with weekend shifts (Sat/Sun 2-10 PM) and the opportunity to earn $14.00 per hour while working in a dynamic, welcoming team. A background check and drug screen are required, and licensing rules may apply.

Qualifications

• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients, drivers, visitors, and/or personnel by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents, access concerns, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, escalating matters according to site-specific procedures.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of distribution areas, loading docks, parking areas, trailer yards, and perimeter locations to help identify and report unusual activity or conditions.
• Monitor access points and support visitor, vendor, and delivery-driver entry procedures in accordance with site requirements.
• Prepare clear, accurate reports and communicate observations, incidents, and policy concerns to appropriate site contacts and Allied Universal leadership.

Pay Rate: $14.00 / Hour

Job Schedule:

• Sat 02:00 PM - 10:00 PM
• Sun 02:00 PM - 10:00 PM
