Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking a Part Time Security Officer Patrol Operations in Springfield, IL. You will serve and safeguard clients across various industries, building a schedule that fits your life and leveraging our Claim a Shift platform to explore new roles.

You will monitor and patrol assigned areas, deter security incidents, and deliver exceptional customer service and communication. Typical daily responsibilities include unarmed patrols, access control, incident reporting, and responding

Qualifications

• At least 1 year of security-related experience is required.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to visitors, employees, and/or members of the public by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and appropriate emergency response activities at a government location.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established reporting and escalation procedures.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of assigned buildings, offices, parking areas, entrances, and perimeter areas to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
• Monitor access points and verify authorization for personnel, visitors, contractors, and deliveries in accordance with site-specific requirements.
• Document patrols, incidents, observations, and unusual activities in clear, accurate reports and communicate relevant information to appropriate personnel.

What You'll Do:
