Job summary

Allied Universal, Wayne, NJ, is seeking a Part-Time Security Officer to patrol and service clients, maintaining access control and supporting a safe workplace.

You will perform unarmed patrols across warehouse areas, respond to incidents, log activities, and assist with traffic flow while delivering excellent customer service during weekend shifts.

Qualifications

• Have at least 1 year of security-related experience.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients, visitors, drivers, and delivery personnel by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents, access concerns, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, escalating matters according to site procedures.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols throughout warehouse, loading dock, shipping and receiving, and perimeter areas to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
• Monitor access points, verify visitor and contractor authorization, and maintain accurate logs for deliveries, arrivals, departures, and security-related incidents.
• Assist with maintaining orderly traffic flow for commercial vehicles and personnel while reporting damaged gates, doors, lighting, and other security-related conditions.

Pay Rate: $20.00 / Hour

Job Schedule:

• Sat 07:00 AM - 03:30 PM
• Sun 07:00 AM - 03:30 PM

• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
