Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking a part-time Security Officer in Wilson, NC. You will perform unarmed patrols, ensure a welcoming environment, and provide excellent customer service while maintaining security procedures. Pay rate is $16.48 per hour. Schedule includes daytime and weekend shifts, with opportunities to grow within a dynamic security team.

Qualifications

• Comfortable using a computer or tablet.
• Be at least 18 for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, background checks will be performed as required by law.

• Driver’s license required for driving positions only.

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to clients, visitors, and employees while carrying out site‑specific security‑related procedures and policies at a manufacturing and industrial location.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem‑solving manner, following established emergency response activities when appropriate.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of manufacturing areas, building interiors, exterior grounds, parking areas, and perimeter access points to help identify and report unusual conditions.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity, verify credentials as directed, and report unauthorized access attempts or suspicious activity to appropriate personnel.
• Document patrol observations, incidents, and other security‑related activities accurately and promptly in accordance with site procedures.

Minimum Requirements:

• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
