Job Description

As a Security Officer Part Time Unarmed Patrol Incident Response in Butner, NC, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Manufacturing & Industrial, and more. As an Unarmed Security Officer at a manufacturing and industrial location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and provide outstanding customer service. You will use communication skills and computer or tablet tools to support daily operations, report observations, and assist employees and visitors. What You'll Do

• Provide customer service to clients, visitors, and employees by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities when appropriate.


• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of manufacturing and industrial work areas, access points, parking areas, and the perimeter to help identify unusual activity and report observations.


• Monitor access to the location, verify visitor and contractor authorization, and maintain accurate visitor, patrol, and incident documentation.


• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established post orders and escalation procedures.


• Observe manufacturing operations and facility conditions for potential hazards, unauthorized activity, or policy concerns, and promptly communicate findings to appropriate personnel.

Minimum Requirements

• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.


• Customer service experience is preferred.


• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.


• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.


• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.


• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.


• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.


• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.


• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
