As a Security Officer Part Time Patrol in Round Rock, TX, this role is designed to provide reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site with the flexibility for you to earn more by picking‑up additional shifts when it works for you.

Pay Rate:

$21.09 / Hour

Job Schedule:

Fri 10:00 PM – 06:00 AM

How This Role Works:

• Fixed-Shift Commitment (“Anchor Shift”): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment.
• Earn More, Claim‑A‑Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick‑up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part‑time hours this week and full‑time the next. It’s all up to you.

This role is ideal for candidates seeking part-time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build‑up to a full‑time schedule of up to 40 hours per week; always with the option to scale back when needed.

Responsibilities:

• Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security‑related procedures, site‑specific policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate within a chemical and petrochemical location.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, spills, and other critical situations in a calm, problem‑solving manner, following site‑specific reporting and escalation procedures.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of buildings, restricted areas, parking areas, and the perimeter to help identify unusual activity, unsecured access points, and potential hazards.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity, verify credentials as required, and maintain accurate logs and incident documentation.
• Communicate observations and concerns to site contacts and Allied Universal leadership while supporting compliance with facility access and security‑related protocols.

Minimum Requirements:

• At this site there are limited on‑site facilities such as portable toilets and rustic guard shacks.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
