Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking a Part-Time Security Officer in Morehead City, NC to provide exceptional customer service and security coverage at healthcare facilities. You will perform unarmed patrols, monitor access points, and respond to incidents, while maintaining a visible, protective presence and adhering to site policies.

Responsibilities include documenting incidents and communicating with site contacts, staff, and leadership.

Qualifications

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Background investigation required by federal, state and local laws.
• Drug screen required where permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements may be required prior to employment.

• Provide customer service to patients, visitors, staff, and/or contractors while carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
• Respond to incidents, medical emergencies, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following site procedures and escalating concerns as needed.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols throughout healthcare facilities, parking areas, entrances, and perimeter areas to deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
• Monitor access points and assist with visitor directions, access-control procedures, and reporting of unusual activity in accordance with site-specific requirements.
• Prepare clear, accurate reports of incidents, observations, and patrol activities, and communicate relevant information to site contacts and Allied Universal leadership.

Pay Rate: $15.42 / Hour

Job Schedule:

• Mon 05:00 PM - 09:00 PM
• Wed 05:00 PM - 09:00 PM
• Thur 05:00 PM - 09:00 PM

What You’ll Do:

Minimum Requirements:

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
