Allied Universal in Jacksonville, FL is seeking a Security Officer Part Time Unarmed Patrol Specialist to serve clients across healthcare locations and more. You will perform routine patrols, monitor access points, and maintain a visible security presence while delivering professional customer service.

Qualifications

• At least 1 year of security-related experience is required.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• A guard card or license is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• A state, county, or city-issued security-related license is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, patients, and vendors at a healthcare technology location by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities when appropriate.
• Respond to incidents, medical emergencies, access concerns, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner; notify appropriate site contacts and emergency services as directed.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of the facility, business areas, parking areas, entrances, and perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
• Monitor access points, verify visitor and contractor authorization in accordance with site procedures, and maintain accurate logs and incident documentation.
• Report hazards, unusual conditions, and maintenance concerns to appropriate personnel while supporting a professional and welcoming environment.
