Qualifications

• Alarm panel experience is preferred.
• Must be at least 18 for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• Background check and drug screen required by law.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and vendors at a technology, media, and telecommunications location by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of office areas, building perimeters, parking areas, and other assigned locations to deter unauthorized activity and identify security concerns.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity, verify credentials, and report unauthorized access or unusual activity.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations following site protocols and contacting emergency services when directed.
• Prepare clear activity reports, incident documentation, and shift logs for Allied Universal leadership and site contacts.

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and vendors at a technology, media, and telecommunications location by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of office areas, building perimeters, parking areas, and other assigned locations to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify potential security-related concerns.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity, verify credentials as directed by site procedures, and report unauthorized access attempts or unusual activity to the appropriate personnel.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established site protocols and contacting emergency services when directed.
• Prepare clear and accurate activity reports, incident documentation, and shift logs, and communicate relevant security-related information to Allied Universal leadership and site contacts.

Minimum Requirements:

• Possess 3+ years of combined law enforcement, military, or security-related experience, or a college degree.
• A guard card or license is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Alarm panel experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
