Allied Universal is hiring a Security Officer – Part Time Enhanced in Erie, PA. This role offers reliable, fixed shifts with the option to pick up extra shifts to increase earnings, and serves as a stepping stone toward a full-time security career with the industry leader.

Pay rate is $18.54 per hour. The schedule includes DayTime shifts with the anchor six-month commitment and the Earn More, Claim-A-Shift program to gain additional hours across sites.

Qualifications

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Background check in accordance with federal, state, and local laws.
• Drug screen required where permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements may be required by state/local laws.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to patients, visitors, staff, and contractors by carrying out security procedures and site policies.
• Respond to incidents and medical emergencies calmly following site protocols.
• Conduct regular unarmed patrols to deter unauthorized activity and identify concerns.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity per site requirements and report unusual conditions.
• Document observations and communicate information to Allied Universal leadership and site contacts.

Security Officer Enhanced Part Time Patrol in Erie, PA, this role is designed to provide reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site with the flexibility for you to earn more by picking‑up additional shifts when it works for you.

Pay Rate: $18.54 / Hour

Job Schedule:

DayTimeTue03:00 PM - 11:00 PM

How This Role Works:

• Fixed-Shift Commitment (“Anchor Shifts”): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment.
• Earn More, Claim-A-Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick‑up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part‑time hours this week and full‑time the next. It’s all up to you.

This role is ideal for candidates seeking part‑time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build‑up to a full‑time schedule of up to 40 hours per week; always with the option to scale back when needed.

Responsibilities:

• Provide customer service to patients, visitors, staff, and/or contractors by carrying out security‑related procedures, site‑specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities in a healthcare location.
• Respond to incidents, medical‑related emergencies, and critical situations in a calm, problem‑solving manner, following established site protocols.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols throughout the facility, parking areas, and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify potential concerns.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity in accordance with site requirements, reporting unusual conditions to appropriate personnel.
• Document observations, incidents, and response activities accurately and communicate relevant information to Allied Universal leadership and site contacts.

Minimum Requirements:

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
