Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking a Security Officer - Part Time Overnight Guard in Cincinnati, OH to protect clients in transit and facility environments. You will perform unarmed patrols, monitor access points, and respond to incidents in a fast-paced, customer-focused setting.

The role offers part-time, overnight shifts with opportunities to join a large security team and access to Allied Universal’s resources and training programs. A strong emphasis on safety and professional conduct is required.

Qualifications

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Background check required in accordance with federal, state, and local laws.
• Drug screen may be required where permitted by law. Licenses may be needed for driving positions.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to tenants, visitors, drivers, and transportation personnel by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of transportation access areas, parking locations, building exteriors, common areas, and perimeter boundaries to help identify and report unusual activity, hazards, or policy concerns.
• Monitor access points and observe pedestrian and vehicle activity, assisting with authorized entry procedures and directing visitors in accordance with site requirements.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and notifying appropriate personnel as directed.
• Complete accurate activity reports, incident reports, and patrol documentation while maintaining professional communication with site contacts and Allied Universal leadership.

What You'll Do:

Minimum Requirements:

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
