As a Security Officer supporting a government location, you will monitor access points, conduct routine patrols, and maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents. You will use preferred access control and badge experience to support authorized entry while delivering exceptional customer service and clear communication. Position Type: Part Time

Pay Rate: $20.50 / Hour

Job Schedule:

• Tue - 05:00 AM - 01:00 PM
• Thur - 05:00 AM - 01:00 PM

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to visitors, employees, and members of the public by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities when appropriate.
• Monitor access points, verify authorized entry, and maintain awareness of activity at government facilities.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established post orders and escalation procedures.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of assigned buildings, grounds, parking areas, and perimeter locations, reporting unusual conditions or maintenance concerns.
• Complete required activity reports, incident documentation, and shift communications in accordance with site-specific requirements.

Minimum Requirements:

• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• A Guard Card or license is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
