Allied Universal is hiring a Part-Time Security Officer in Phoenix, AZ. You will provide customer service, conduct patrols, monitor access points, and respond to incidents while maintaining a visible security presence.

The role requires a high school diploma or equivalent, a guard card or license where applicable, and successful completion of background checks and drug testing. Schedule includes Wed-Sat morning shifts.

Responsibilities

• Respond to incidents calmly and coordinate with emergency services as needed.

You will conduct routine patrols, monitor access points, assist with badge-related activities, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, and provide professional customer service and communication. Position Type: Part Time

Pay Rate: $21.32 / Hour

Job Schedule:

• Wed 05:00 AM - 01:00 PM
• Thur 05:00 AM - 01:00 PM
• Sat 05:00 AM - 01:00 PM

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to visitors, employees, and members of the public while carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities at government locations.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of assigned buildings, grounds, parking areas, and perimeter areas to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
• Monitor access points and observe activity within assigned areas, reporting suspicious behavior, hazards, maintenance concerns, and policy violations according to site procedures.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, contacting appropriate personnel and/or emergency services as directed.
• Document patrols, incidents, and other security-related activities accurately and completely in required reports and logs.

Minimum Requirements:

• A guard card or license is preferred.
• Experience with access control and badges is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
