Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking a Part-Time Mobile Patrol Security Officer in Jersey City, NJ. You will conduct vehicle and foot patrols, maintain a visible presence, and respond to security concerns while delivering excellent customer service to tenants and staff.

The role requires a valid driver’s license, high school diploma or equivalent, and flexibility in shift scheduling. CPR/First Aid certifications are preferred, with opportunities for training and growth within a supportive team.

Qualifications

• CPR and First Aid certification is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• CPR certification is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state/local laws and may be required.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

• Prepare clear patrol reports of activity, incidents, observations, and actions taken.

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to tenants, visitors, and/or property staff while carrying out security‑related procedures, site‑specific policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of commercial property common areas, parking areas, building exteriors, and perimeter locations to help identify and report unusual conditions.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, access concerns, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem‑solving manner, following site procedures and notifying appropriate personnel.
• Monitor access points and observe activity throughout the location to help deter unauthorized entry, trespassing, and/or property damage.
• Prepare clear, accurate reports of patrol activity, incidents, observations, and actions taken in accordance with Allied Universal and site requirements.

Minimum Requirements:

• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• CPR and First Aid certification is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• CPR certification is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
