Qualifications

• Must have NYS Security Guard License.
• Minimum 1 year of security-related experience.
• Loss Prevention experience is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years old for unarmed roles; 21+ years for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Background check and drug screen required by law.
• Licensing requirements may be required prior to employment.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to staff, visitors, and the public at healthcare locations by following security procedures and site policies.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of interior and exterior areas, entrances, and common spaces to identify hazards and policy concerns.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity, directing individuals to appropriate locations when needed.
• Respond to incidents and emergencies in a calm, solution-focused manner and notify site personnel or emergency responders.
• Prepare accurate incident reports and daily logs and communicate information to leadership and site contacts.

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to staff, visitors, and members of the public at a healthcare-related public health location by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of interior and exterior areas, entrances, common spaces, and perimeter locations to identify and report unusual activity, hazards, and policy concerns.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity in accordance with site procedures, assisting with orderly entry and directing individuals to appropriate locations when needed.
• Respond to incidents, medical emergencies, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, notifying appropriate site personnel and/or emergency responders.
• Prepare accurate incident reports, daily activity logs, and other required documentation, and communicate relevant information to Allied Universal leadership and site contacts.

Minimum Requirements:

• Possess a New York State Security Guard License.
• Have at least 1 year of security-related experience.
• Loss Prevention experience is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
