Qualifications

• At least one year of security-related experience is required.
• A valid driver’s license is required per Allied Universal policy.
• Loss prevention experience is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• A guard card or license is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years old for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Background check will be conducted.
• Allied Universal may consider applicants with criminal histories.
• Drug screen required where permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements vary by state/local laws and may be required.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to tenants, visitors, vendors, and guests while following site policies and responding to incidents.
• Patrol the property regularly, including common areas, exteriors, and parking areas, and report unusual activity.
• Monitor access points, observe visitors and vendors, and report unauthorized entry or suspicious activity.
• Respond calmly to incidents and alarms, contacting appropriate personnel or emergency services as directed.
• Prepare clear reports of patrols and incidents, and share information with leadership and site contacts.

As a Security Officer Enhanced Part Time Licensed Patrol Driver in CHESTER, PA, this role is designed to provide reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site with the flexibility for you to earn more by picking‑up additional shifts when it works for you.

Job Schedule:

DayTimeWed11:00 PM - 03:00 AM

How This Role Works:

• Fixed-Shift Commitment ("Anchor Shifts"): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment.


• Earn More, Claim-A-Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick-up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part-time hours this week and full-time the next. It’s all up to you.

This role is ideal for candidates seeking part‑time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build-up to a full‑time schedule of up to 40 hours per week; always with the option to scale back when needed.

Responsibilities:

• Provide customer service to tenants, visitors, vendors, and guests by carrying out security‑related procedures, site‑specific policies, and emergency response activities when appropriate.


• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of commercial property common areas, building exteriors, parking areas, access points, and the perimeter to help identify and report unusual activity or conditions.


• Monitor access to the location, observe visitor and vendor activity, and report unauthorized entry, property concerns, or suspicious behavior according to site procedures.


• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem‑solving manner, contacting appropriate personnel and/or emergency services as directed.


• Prepare clear and accurate reports of patrols, incidents, observations, and security‑related activities, and communicate relevant information to Allied Universal leadership and site contacts.

Minimum Requirements:

• At least one year of security‑related experience is required.


• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.


• Loss prevention experience is preferred.


• Customer service experience is preferred.


• A guard card or license is preferred.


• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.


• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.


• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.


• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.


• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.


• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.


• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
