Allied Universal in Raleigh, NC is seeking a Part-Time Security Officer to perform tablet-based log patrols and provide excellent customer service to visitors and staff. The role offers flexible day-time and weekend shifts, with pay at $17.00 per hour and on-site duties at government facilities.

You’ll patrol premises, monitor access points, and respond to incidents while maintaining detailed activity logs. A high school diploma and background checks are required.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to visitors, employees, and the public while following security procedures.
• Conduct regular foot and vehicle patrols of buildings, grounds, and perimeter areas to deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access points and verify visitor/contractor/delivery authorization per site procedures.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and emergencies with calm, clear communication.
• Prepare clear reports and maintain logs of patrols and incidents.

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to visitors, employees, and members of the public while carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities at government facilities.
• Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols of buildings, grounds, parking areas, and perimeter areas to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
• Monitor access points and verify visitor, contractor, and delivery authorization in accordance with site procedures.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, communicating with appropriate personnel and emergency responders as needed.
• Prepare clear, accurate reports and maintain activity logs related to patrols, incidents, and observed security-related conditions.

Minimum Requirements:

• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
