Allied Universal is seeking a Security Officer Part Time Tablet Assisted Patrol in Durham, NC to safeguard patients, staff and visitors in healthcare facilities and beyond. You will patrol, monitor access, and provide excellent customer service while using a tablet to view schedules and report incidents.

Qualifications

• Minimum high school diploma or equivalent.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Comfort with using a tablet/computer for reporting and scheduling.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to patients, visitors, staff, and vendors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of hospital buildings, parking areas, entrances, and surrounding perimeter to help identify and report unusual activity, hazards, and access concerns.
• Respond to incidents, medical emergencies, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following site protocols and communicating with appropriate personnel.
• Monitor access points and assist with visitor management, directions, and traffic flow while maintaining a welcoming presence in a healthcare setting.
• Document observations, incidents, and patrol activities accurately and promptly in accordance with Allied Universal and site-specific reporting requirements.

What You'll Do:

Minimum Requirements:

• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
