Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking a part-time Security Officer for a gated community in Fullerton, CA. You will monitor entry points, verify access, assist residents and visitors, and maintain a visible presence to deter incidents.

The role offers a flexible schedule with overnight shifts on Fridays and Saturdays, and opportunities to grow through training and smart tools available to claim additional shifts.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles (if applicable).
• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Background check conducted in accordance with laws.
• Drug screen required where permitted by law.

Responsibilities

• Provide exceptional customer service to residents, guests, and vendors while enforcing site-specific access-control procedures.
• Monitor access points and verify authorization for residents, guests, deliveries, and service providers.
• Maintain accurate visitor, vendor, and vehicle entry records and report access concerns.
• Respond to incidents calmly and professionally and report concerns promptly.
• Conduct regular patrols of common areas, access points, and perimeter to deter unauthorized activity.

You will maintain a visible presence, help deter security-related incidents, communicate clearly, and report concerns promptly. Position Type: Part Time

Pay Rate: $20.00 / Hour

Job Schedule: Fri 10:00 PM - 06:00 AM; Sat 10:00 PM - 06:00 AM

What You'll Do:

• Provide exceptional customer service to residents, guests, vendors, and visitors while carrying out site-specific access-control procedures, policies, and emergency response activities.
• Monitor access points and verify authorization for residents, guests, deliveries, and service providers in accordance with community procedures.
• Maintain accurate visitor, vendor, and vehicle entry records and communicate access concerns to appropriate site contacts.
• Respond to incidents, access-control concerns, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of community common areas, access points, and the perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.

Minimum Requirements:

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
