Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to residents, guests, vendors, and visitors by carrying out access-control procedures and site-specific policies.
• Monitor entry and exit points, verify visitor and vendor authorization, and maintain access records.
• Respond to incidents and security concerns in a calm, professional manner and escalate when needed.
• Conduct regular patrols of community areas and perimeter to deter unauthorized activity and identify access concerns.
• Communicate effectively with residents and site management regarding procedures and incidents.

As an Access Control Officer at a residential community, you will help maintain a welcoming, secure environment by monitoring entry points, verifying visitor access, and communicating professionally with residents, guests, and vendors. You will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and provide exceptional customer service. Pay Rate: $21.40 / Hour

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to residents, guests, vendors, and/or visitors by carrying out access-control procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Monitor entry and exit points, verify visitor and vendor authorization, and maintain accurate access-related records in accordance with community procedures.
• Respond to incidents, access concerns, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, escalating matters as appropriate.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of community common areas, entry points, parking areas, and perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity and identify access-related concerns.
• Communicate professionally with residents and site management regarding access procedures, incidents, and policy-related questions.

Minimum Requirements:

• At least 1 year of security-related experience is required.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
• At this site there are limited on-site facilities such as portable toilets and rustic guard shacks.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
