Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking a Security Officer Part Time Front Desk in Monticello, NY. You will greet visitors, monitor access, respond to security concerns, and use computer or tablet systems to support operations.

The role offers a flexible Part-Time schedule and a pay rate of $23.15 - $24.15 per hour. You will join a team that values integrity, teamwork, and customer service at a public library site.

Qualifications

• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

• Provide customer service to visitors, staff, and/or vendors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
• Staff the front desk, greet and direct visitors, manage access procedures, and maintain required visitor logs and documentation.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, notifying appropriate personnel as needed.
• Monitor the entrance area and security-related systems from a stationary post, reporting unusual activity, hazards, or policy concerns.
• Maintain a professional presence and provide information or assistance to support an orderly, welcoming location.
