Allied Universal is seeking a part-time Security Officer for a Foot Patrol in Venice, FL. You will guard government locations, deter security incidents, and deliver strong customer service while maintaining a visible presence.

This role requires 1 year of law enforcement/security experience, a high school diploma, and a background/drug screening as part of the employment process. Flexible day schedules are available, with pay at $18.50 per hour.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to visitors, employees, and members of the public at a government location by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities when appropriate.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of assigned buildings, parking areas, public access areas, and the perimeter to help identify and report unusual activity, hazards, or maintenance concerns.
• Monitor access points and observe visitor activity in accordance with site procedures; verify credentials or direct guests to appropriate resources as assigned.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner; document observations and notify appropriate site contacts and/or emergency services as directed.
• Prepare clear, accurate reports of patrols, incidents, and other security-related activities, and communicate relevant information to Allied Universal leadership and site personnel.

Minimum Requirements:

• Have at least 1 year of law enforcement experience, 2 years of security-related supervisor or manager experience, or 3 years of security-related experience.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
