Job summary

Allied Universal® in New York, NY seeks a Part-Time Security Officer (Unarmed) to monitor a financial site, deter incidents, and provide excellent customer service. You will patrol lobbies, entrances, and parking areas while documenting observations and maintaining a professional presence.

Flexible scheduling is available with the Claim a Shift platform. Prior security or customer service experience is preferred; a high school diploma and background check are required.

• Comfortable using a computer or tablet.
• License preferred where required by state/local laws.
• Must be 18+ for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.

Pay Rate: $21.95 / Hour

Job Schedule:

• Mon 06:00 AM - 02:00 PM
• Tue 02:00 PM - 07:30 PM
• Fri 06:00 AM - 02:00 PM
• Sun 06:00 AM - 02:00 PM

What You’ll Do:

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and/or vendors at a financial institution by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established escalation and reporting protocols.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of banking offices, lobbies, entrances, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help to deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity, verify credentials as directed, and report unusual conditions or access concerns to appropriate personnel.
• Prepare accurate activity, incident, and shift reports while maintaining a professional presence and supporting a welcoming client environment.

Minimum Requirements:

• Have at least 1 year of security-related experience.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• A state, county, or city-issued security-related license is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
