As a Security Officer - Part Time Financial Building Dispatchin San Diego, CA, this role is designed to provide reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site with the flexibility for you to earn more by picking‑up additional shifts when it works for you.

Pay Rate: $23.00 / Hour

Job Schedule: DayTimeSat10:00 PM - 06:30 AM

How This Role Works:

• Fixed-Shift Commitment (“Anchor Shifts”): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment.
• Earn More, Claim-A-Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick‑up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part‑time hours this week and full‑time the next. It’s all up to you.

This role is ideal for candidates seeking part‑time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build‑up to a full‑time schedule of up to 40 hours per week; always with the option to scale back when needed.

Responsibilities:

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and vendors at a financial institution by carrying out security‑related procedures, site‑specific policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
• Monitor incoming calls, alarms, access‑control notifications, and other communications; document activity and dispatch appropriate personnel according to established procedures.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem‑solving manner, coordinating communication with site contacts, emergency responders, and Allied Universal leadership as needed.
• Maintain accurate logs, incident reports, shift activity records, and other dispatch documentation in accordance with site requirements.
• Monitor cameras and other security‑related systems to help identify unusual activity, support timely response, and assist with regular and random patrol coordination around the business and perimeter.

Minimum Requirements:

• At least one year of security‑related experience is required.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• A Guard Card or license is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
