The Security Officer is responsible for the safety and well-being of patients, staff, physicians, visitors, students, and property. Responsibilities include surveillance, incident reporting, and providing quality guest services.

Responsibilities

• Conduct patrols throughout the Medical Center to monitor and address security and safety issues.
• Respond to security calls and codes, acting quickly and effectively in emergencies.
• Control access, assist visitors, and enforce policies courteously.
• Maintain access control over facilities, parking, and conduct investigations as needed.
• Respond to fire drills, perform fire watches, and assist with inspections.
• Provide escorts and inspections, report incidents, and maintain security equipment.
• Follow all safety, security, and conduct policies, and participate in training and meetings.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Proficient with computers (Microsoft Office, Google Suite).

Preferred

• 2 years of college credits.
• Security or law enforcement experience.

Licenses and Certifications

• Valid driver's license.
• Background checks conducted biannually.
