Qualifications

• TSA-issued TWIC required.
• Guard Card/License preferred.
• Must be 18+ (unarmed) or 21+ (armed).
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Background check per federal, state and local laws.
• Criminal histories considered in compliance with laws.
• Drug screen required where permitted by law.
• Licensing may be required prior to employment.
• Driver’s license required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to visitors, employees, contractors, and maritime personnel by carrying out access-control procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
• Monitor entry and exit points, verify credentials and authorization, maintain visitor logs, and direct individuals to appropriate locations within the facility.
• Respond to incidents, access concerns, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established reporting and escalation procedures.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of assigned facilities, gates, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help deter unauthorized access and identify security-related concerns.
• Communicate professionally with port operations personnel, government representatives, and first responders while documenting observations, incidents, and daily activities.

Position Type: Part Time

Pay Rate: $18.00 / Hour

Job Schedule:

• Tue 05:00 AM - 12:00 PM
• Wed 05:00 AM - 12:00 PM
• Fri 05:00 AM - 12:00 PM
• Sun 05:30 AM - 01:30 PM

What You’ll Do:

Minimum Requirements:

• Possess a TSA-issued TWIC.
• A Guard Card/License is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
