Allied Universal is seeking a Part-Time Security Officer in North Miami, FL to protect government locations, control access, verify credentials, and maintain logs with a calm, professional presence.

You will provide frontline customer service, respond to incidents, and patrol assigned areas while ensuring safety and compliance with site procedures. This role offers part-time scheduling and growth opportunities within Allied Universal.

Qualifications

• At least one year of security-related experience.
• Guard card or license preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Background check as required by law.
• Drug screening where permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements may apply by state/local laws.
• Driver’s license required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to visitors, employees, and contractors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities when appropriate.
• Monitor access points at a government location, verify identification and authorization credentials, and control entry and exit in accordance with established procedures.
• Maintain accurate visitor, contractor, and delivery logs, issue access credentials as assigned, and report discrepancies to site leadership.
• Respond to access-control incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following site-specific notification and response protocols.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of assigned access points, surrounding areas, and perimeter to help identify unauthorized activity or conditions requiring attention.

Job Schedule:

Mon: 06:00 AM - 02:00 PM
Tue: 06:00 AM - 02:00 PM
Wed: 02:00 PM - 10:00 PM

What You'll Do:

Minimum Requirements:

• At least one year of security-related experience is required.
• A guard card or license is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
