Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking a Part Time Security Officer – Entry Access in Hardeeville, SC. You will manage entry points, verify credentials, monitor access, and assist with routine patrols while delivering professional customer service to visitors and drivers.

This role supports a flexible schedule with Tue, Wed, and Thu shifts starting early morning. Prior access-control or security experience and a high school diploma are preferred; background check and drug screen are required.

Responsibilities

Position Type: Part Time

Pay Rate: $18.50 / Hour

Job Schedule:

• Tue – 05:40 AM - 04:30 PM
• Wed – 05:40 AM - 04:30 PM
• Thur – 05:40 AM - 01:45 PM

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to clients, visitors, drivers, and/or employees by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Monitor access points, verify credentials and visitor authorization, maintain entry and exit records, and direct authorized personnel and commercial drivers in accordance with site procedures.
• Respond to incidents, access-control concerns, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, escalating matters to appropriate site contacts and/or emergency services as needed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of the distribution location, including building entrances, loading areas, parking areas, and perimeter locations, to help identify and report unusual activity or conditions.
• Maintain accurate activity logs, incident reports, and access-control documentation while communicating professionally with site personnel and Allied Universal leadership.

Minimum Requirements:

• At this site there are limited on-site facilities such as portable toilets and rustic guard shacks.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
