Job Description

As a Security Officer Part Time Driver Patrol Inspections in Roanoke, VA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls, and more. Join a leading team where flexibility meets opportunity. As a Part-Time Security Officer, you can build a schedule that works for you and explore new roles using our Claim a Shift platform. As a Patrol Unarmed Officer at a retail location, you will conduct routine vehicle and foot patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and support a welcoming environment for customers and associates. This driving position requires a valid driver's license in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to clients, customers, and visitors by carrying out site-specific security-related procedures, policies, and appropriate emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents, customer concerns, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established protocols and reporting requirements.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols throughout retail sales areas, entrances, parking areas, receiving locations, and the surrounding perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor for suspicious activity, potential hazards, and policy violations, and promptly report observations to site leadership and/or appropriate personnel.
• Assist with access control, visitor interactions, and directing customers and delivery personnel while maintaining a professional presence at the location.

Minimum Requirements:

• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• A Security Professional Guard Card is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
