Allied Universal is seeking a Part Time Licensed Driver Patrol Security Officer in San Jose, CA. You will patrol a busy retail location, provide exceptional customer service, and deter security incidents with a visible presence.

The role requires a valid driver’s license, 18+ for unarmed roles, and 21+ for armed roles, plus background checks and drug screening. Part-time shifts include DayTime and Friday-Saturday schedules with a $26.00/hour pay rate.

As an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a busy retail shopping location, you will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and provide exceptional customer service to shoppers, tenants, and visitors. This driving position requires a valid driver’s license in the job state and adherence to Allied Universal driver policy requirements. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to shoppers, tenants, visitors, and/or employees by carrying out security-related procedures, location-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols throughout the shopping center, including common areas, parking areas, exterior walkways, and perimeter locations.
• Observe and report suspicious activity, policy violations, hazards, maintenance concerns, and/or unusual conditions to the appropriate personnel.
• Respond to incidents, customer concerns, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner.
• Assist with access control, traffic and parking guidance, and/or tenant and visitor support while helping to deter unauthorized activity.

Minimum Requirements:

• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
